So naturally I started remembering all the best teen TV BFFs over the years. Here’s my list:

Kimmy Gibbler & D.J. Tanner

For all those Full House fans out there, you know that Kimmy and D.J.’s bond was quite special. Though they appear to be total opposites, it works in their favor. D.J. keeps Kimmy from getting too wild and crazy and Kimmy helps D.J. walk on the wild side.

These BFFs have been friends since elementary school and I like to think they’re still BFFs somewhere, despite the Gibbler’s retro clothing.

Ryan Atwood & Seth Cohen

Seth Cohen was a geek with no friends. Ryan Atwood was a problem child. And by the magical powers of Sandy Cohen’s eyebrows, these two forged a brotherhood and bromance that lasted four seasons and beyond.

With Seth’s wits and Ryan’s brawn, these two made it through romances, corporate espionage, Paris Hilton and dangerous biological siblings. It wasn’t always easy, but it was real. How real? Ryan was Seth’s best man at his wedding to Summer. Only real BFFs get that honor.

Cory & Hunter

Cory and Topanga’s romance isn’t the only longstanding relationship on Boy Meets World. Cory and Shawn Hunter’s friendship is the stuff that TGIF TV blocks are made of.

Nerdy Cory and the ever-cool Hunter are the preteen — and later teen — odd couple. Cory helps Hunter through his family troubles and Hunter helps Cory get the girl. Hey, what are BFFs for?

Manny & Emma

Friends since their first day at Degrassi, Manny and Emma went through it all — fights, losing JT, break-ups, betrayals, topless videos and name-calling (Manny called Emma a “prude princess” and Emma called Manny the “school slut”) — but these two always have each others backs.

Whether it’s cyber stalkers, anorexia or spirit squad, Manny and Emma bury the hatchet and battle through together. And let’s be real, making it through Degrassi is dramatic enough as it is. A good BFF can only make it easier.

Clarissa & Sam

Possibly the coolest teen TV best friends that ever lived, Clarissa and Sam were the first teen show that featured a boy and girl as platonic friends without romance blossoming.

Clarissa was the fashionista feminist trying to destroy her brother. Sam was the scientist/surfer who had a penchant for climbing through her bedroom window. And the coolest thing of all? Sam’s entrance guitar rift.

Kenan & Kel

“Aw, here it goes!” These two BFFs had Coolio sing a theme song about their friendship and antics. If that’s not epic, I don’t know what is.

Kenan loves scheming. Kel loves orange soda. Together they ruin people’s houses, destroy public property and attempt hundreds of get-rich-quick schemes proving that the BFFs that scheme together, stay together.

Lizzie, Miranda & Gordo

Come on! If you loved Lizzie McGuire the way I did, then you had to love these BFFs. Gordo, Miranda and Lizzie wouldn’t last a day alone in middle school or high school. Lucky for them, they don’t have to.

The trio awkwardly fumbled through puberty and managed to stay attached at the hip despite high school hierarchy. Sure, Gordo and Lizzie later fall in love, but animated Lizzie would never leave behind her best gal pal Miranda.

Well that’s my list. I considered the Pretty Little Liars girls, but they seem to be friends by circumstance, not choice. And I even considered Blair and Serena from Gossip Girl, but their friendship is based on money and status — I mean, would Blair be friends with Serena if she was poor?

The CW has also picked up a revamp of the old Beauty and the Beast television series. Which is odd considering no one went and saw that Vanessa Hudgens revamp last year.

For comic book nerds — like me — The CW has found a potential Smallville replacement in their new Green Arrow series called Arrow. Hopefully they’ll do it justice (yes, that was a terrible Justice League pun. Get with it).

They’ve also picked up Cult. And all I know for sure is that it’s a “spooky-sounding thriller,” which The CW previously passed on.

And lastly, The CW has acquired the rights to the Canadian drama L.A. Complex about six young performers pursuing their dreams in Hollywood. (For some reason this just sounds like failed show The Beautiful Life, but Canadian) They’ll start airing L.A. Complex this spring.

GG nabbed a series low 0.6 adults 18-49 earlier this season. And it’s only nabbed 0.7 twice since then. The storylines are crappier than ever. Blair’s pregnant, she’s not pregnant. She loves Dan, she loves Chuck. Serena gets a job in PR. Serena gets a job in Hollywood. And Nate is…around.

Aren’t we all tired of this show? Don’t we wish it would just die already and retain some of its dignity? Or should we hope that it gets renewed (and those chances look slim) and become great once more? You decide!

 HANNA MARIN, WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU WEARING?! As my friend Caroline said, you look like a Madonna reject. The tights are ok. The skirt is fine. But the fringe top? NO. This is the second week in a row that you’ve worn some kind of hideous poncho top. STOP IT. PLEASE.

Emily — the only Liar to never be put in a “WTH Are You Wearing?!” post– knows a bad outfit when she sees one. Emily knows that fringe, rope and lace NEVER go together. Please consult your roommate before leaving the house from now on, Hanna. You’re on outfit probation. (P.S. Emily, your make-up is amazing!)

ARIA MONTGOMERY, WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU WEARING?! You look like Fergie. That is not a compliment. That faux-fur vest looks like an old rug from my grandfather’s smelly smoking room. Those leggings look like you were in a knife fight. And that beanie makes you look like a confused hipster.

Don’t you love how Aria is looking at Spencer all like “What? Is there some kind of problem here?” And you just know Spencer is giving her that disgusted look she gave Hanna for doing the hanky panky on her granny’s sofa. The truth is that Aria’s outfit is not only terrible, it’s not her style! Please go back to wearing see-through shirts, lace gloves and black heart earrings.

Now I’m dying to see iCarly’s “iMeet the First Lady” episode. I’m also wishing they would show up to my door, just like this.

As if the Olympics weren’t going to make this season crazy enough, there’s also a fierce new girl! New girls are always a great idea — new bitch, new drama — and I can tell by the way this girl struts across the mats, we won’t be let down.

However, what does, “I will leave smoke on the table,” mean? Smoke? Does she mean dust? Do gymnasts use tables? I thought they used bars and beams? Ah well, she says it like she means it so it must be something serious.

I’m not one to suggest tutus are a no-no. But there’s only been two episodes and I’ve seen four tutus. That’s a lot of tulle, girl.

They do help keep her style whimsical and age-appropriate. But are they high-fashion enough for her office? Are they couture enough to be worn down the runway (as her pink dress was in this week’s episode)?

You tell me. To tutu or not to tutu? Would you try this trend? I think that’s kind of the point: Jane’s style is all her own and no one in high school walks the halls in military jackets and tutus, except for her…and me. I love crazy pieces. Give me a wild print, leather pants, Clueless-style hat and I’m in heaven. (Not worn together though. Relax. I’m not trying to look Helena Bonham Carter status)

But here’s thing: I’ve got a tulle gray maxi skirt in my closet and it’s going to get some major play. World, you can thank Jane for that.
